2nd half of our California Adventure!
Completing our stint in California, this time around we are hitting southern California, San Diego. After deciding to fly directly to San Diego instead of driving, we picked up our rental car and drove all night straight to Las Vegas. After being here the month before, the thrill was all for my sister SzeLan as this was her first time here in Vegas. Our Priceline deal was great as we got a night @ the Marriott for a great price. Things would have went better if we had another night to say in Vegas, as we didn't want to crash @ the Mandalay Bay's beach lobby. We caught Zumanity and hope to catch more shows next time we go back.
San Diego is known for its wild life Safari, the famous San Diego Zoo, and of course Sea World. the Safari was a great experience as we got to see many wildlife in a wide open space. San Diego Zoo was home to the famous panda bears, where it took almost 40min for us to stand in line to get in. The pandas were the biggest attraction. Sea World was a wonderful experience as we got to catch a few shows. Kobe Bryant was also in attendance with his family during the "Believe" show.
Shopping, Wildlife, & Wild Rides. Peter & I couldn't take as much rides as Lan could. Roller Coaster is certainly not for me as I visited the bathroom many times. We then spent many of our days cruising southern California discovering Old Town San Diego, Long Beach, Valencia, and ending our stint in downtown San Diego @ the Hyatt Waterfront. A beautiful hotel, after spending a few nights @ the Travel lodge, & the Hyatt in Valencia. I opted for the Hyatt in San Diego. We landed the 27th floor with a magnificent view.
Over all it was a good trip, but the 4 days too long! We went to the airport like 16hrs early rather than checking into a hotel and the long wait made us a bit crazy...
